Creative Jumpstarts 05

Hey hey!!  We have an extra special Creative Jumpstarts to share with you today!  We've really loved seeing all your work popping up on Instagram and in galleries and we thought it would be awesome to have a guest designer join in on the fun!  We are so excited to welcome the awesome Ginny Hughes to this week's challenge!!  You are just going to love her take on this theme!!

The challenge for this week is a paper challenge and we are going BIG with a large title!  Titles are usually one of the last things I think about, so starting with a title was a little tricky for me!  Sometimes I don't even add them to my page at all (oops).  It took me a while to figure out how I wanted to tackle this challenge, but in the end, I loved how my page turned out and I hope you do too!!

Here's a look at my page:

I started this page with a bunch of photos from our Thanksgiving weekend and my title (that I cut with my silhouette).  I knew I wanted to include several pictures on my layout and decided to use my circle punch on them to add a different visual effect.  Plus, I just love circles!

I used pop dots to adhere my photos to the background for a little more dimension.  They were looking pretty flat when I laid them directly on my paper.  Next, I added my title....and I also used pop dots to give it a little lift and dimension.  I like the shadow effect it creates.

I used my circle punch to punch out several pieces of patterned paper and add them right alongside my photos on my page.  I like the mix of paper and photos.  I think it keeps the page from being too overwhelming.  As you can see above, I used one circle for my journaling and the other for embellishments.

My final touches were adding in a few wooden embellishments and stickers on my layout.  Since my page was so photo heavy, I didn't want to add in too many embellishments (I really had to use some restraint here!!!).  And that's it!  I love how this page captures our weekend and our family time together!

Now, let's take a look at Ginny's awesome page!  Ginny has such an incredible style and I'm always so amazed at all of the little details she adds to a page!!

So amazing, right?? I love how she added those digital brushes right to her photo to create her title!  And don't forget to hop on over to Marcy's blog to check out her take on this challenge!!  We so hope you can play along with us again this week!  There is nothing better than seeing your creations popping up here and there!  It really is so awesome!  So get creative and have fun!  We can't wait to see your take on a page with a large title!!

And we would love to add more guest designers to our challenge!  Are you interested???  Join in on our challenges and leave us a note saying you would love to guest design!!

Creative Jumpstarts were created by Marcy Penner and Stephanie Bryan to challenge each other with their paper endeavors. Delivered in the form of bimonthly challenges, they encourage us (and hopefully you too) to stretch supplies, think outside of the box and to remain intentional about the memories we capture.  Challenges are posted on the first and third Mondays of every month.  Projects are shared on our blogs and on Instagram using the hashtag #creativejumpstarts. We'd love it if you'd share along with us at either of those places and be sure to tag us (@helloforeverpaperco and @stephaniebryan) if you do!
