Hello there!  I have a sneak peek of something so exciting to share with you all today!  My favorite designer, Maggie Holmes, is getting ready to release her next collection with Crate Paper and it is just divine!  The new collection, called Shine, is just that!  

It's shiny, it's pretty, it's bright and it's bold.  Maggie's collections are always my favorite and this one does not disappoint!  This trendy and vibrant collection features a bright mix of feminine florals, inspiring brush script phrases and bold geometric patterns with golden accent throughout. A stunning color palette of blush, lemon yellow, jade and teal bring to life the charm and excitement of the everyday. 

There are so many fun bits and pieces in this collection and I just can't wait to create with them!  Delightful icons of little trinkets and treasures including cameras, feathers, pinwheels, butterflies and typewriters add a touch of daily fun.

Endless Summer

Wishing and praying I could make this summer last forever.  Normally, I"m about ready for school to start back around now, but this one has been the best, and I'm just not ready to give it up yet.

I put this page tougher using a piece of the "tag" paper from the Crate Paper Poolside collection in the Studio Calico Ferris Wheel add-on and bits and pieces from both the Ferris Wheel and the Carousel kits.

I trimmed down the Crate Paper Poolside paper so I had lots of individual pieces, tags, etc.  Then I created a grid on my bag using those pieces and added in my photos and embellishments.  I love thinking outside of the box with my papers and pulling out my scissors to create something fun and different!

Here's to summer lasting forever (but.......school starts back today, so.... Doubtful).

Maggie Holmes Design Team: Summer Activity Books

If you have kiddos, I'm sure you have heard "I'm bored" at least once this summer.  My kids do a pretty good job of playing together or alone, but I still hear that "I'm bored" sentence a few times each week.  Planning ahead tends to be key for me.  We have a daily schedule (when the kids aren't in camp) that lists what we will be doing for the day.  It's nothing to extravagant or crazy - just little things that they can do to stay busy AND be creative.  

One of the fun activities on our list this week is to draw, write and tell stories in these cute little summer activity books.  These books are SO simple and easy to make and the kids just love them!  Stop by Maggie's blog for a quick tutorial for creating summer mini books of your own!  The possibilities are endless for these cute books!

Valentine's Day Party

I am so excited to share this fun little party I threw for my kiddos.  Being a momma really is the best and I love surprising them with activities and "parties".  I really didn't do anything elaborate here (and I even served them gingerbread cookies from CHRISTMAS for goodness sake), but they thought it was the best day ever.  Hop on over to Maggie's blog to see more of our little Valentine's party!

Open Book Inspiration

Maggie's new line Confetti is the hit of CHA this year I hear!  I so wish I could have been there to see all that goodness for myself!  Next year CHA is on my to-do list (I say that every year, but maybe next year will be THE year)!  Anyhoo....I'm super excited to get my hands on Maggie's new line, but I seriously can't believe new products are being released!  Time flies in the scrapbook world!!

I'm still having fun playing with Maggie's previous collection, Open Book (which feels practically brand new)!  I'm working on a super fun (secret) project with this beautiful collection right now and I can't wait to share more with you!  For now, though, I thought it would be fun to put together an Open Book inspiration post!  All of these projects have been posted either on Maggie's blog or the Crate blog, but only a sneak or two was posted here on my own blog!  Here goes...

The soft tones and pops of gold make this collection amazing.  And I love the hints of black and white throughout.  And the florals.  They are just the best. 

This ombre paper is my fave.  And look....I created a page WITHOUT using a white background.  See....I can think outside of the box.  ;)

I used a bit of my scraps to create these mini canvases.  I'm so in love with these still.  I'm trying to decide if there is a way I can bind these into a book when I take them down (since they are thin canvases).  Any thoughts?? 

And of course I had to put together a mini album.  This one was so fun to make and you just might be seeing this again soon!!  :)

Crate Paper: Love This Moment Mini Album

I sure hope you're not tired of my mini albums yet because I have two more to share with you!  First up is the delicate little book that I put together using Crate Paper's new Open Book collection.  This collection is just dreamy, which is what I had in mind when I created this album!
