You at Three Mini Album

Time for another mini book!!

write.click.scrapbook has been overflowing with minis all month long and this week, JBS Mercantile and write.click.scrap are teaming to bring your more inspiration!

I got a beautiful March Papercrafting kit in the mail a few weeks ago and had so much fun putting together a little mini album all about my son.  You can see the images here and if you want to know more details, visit the write.click.scrapbook blog today.

Oh happy day...

This month at write.click.scrapbook is mini madness March and it just 

happens to be my favorite month ever!  I put together a fun mini album using a 

variety papers from the March Gossamer Blue kits, including the speciality papers.  

You can see a quick little video of these papers in action on my blog earlier this week.

I used the Silhouette to cut out my title.  I love the peek-a-boo effect!

The papers are various sizes throughout the book.  

I just randomly trimmed papers from the March kits and then added in my 

photos, journaling and paper layers.  I was going for a "messy" look for this one.

I also added trimmed papers and journaling cards onto one ring.  

I wanted movements and random bits of papers throughout the book.

For this page, I wanted to include two photos of my children, 

and wanted it to sort of interactive.  To create a flap, I trimmed my paper a bit 

larger than my photos and then scored my paper right outside my photos.  

Super easy and super fun!

I did something similar here, but created a pocket instead of a flap.  

The pocket holds a photo and some journaling to my daughter.

The colors and papers from the March Gossamer Blue kits are amazing.  

They have me longing for springtime, sunny days and warmer weather!!  

Unfortunately it's rainy and brrrrrr cold today.  Boo.

my minds eye

i put together a "2013 in review" album using one of the new starter kit albums from my minds eye.  you can see the full tutorial, as well as how to create a simple photo collage on the mme blog.

the january gallery at write.click.scrapbook is now live!!  this month is all about "the times" and for my layout, i decided to reflect on these moments that are too fast and too fleeting.  i kept my layout pretty simple with some sewn crepe paper, a doily and a few embellishments.  take a look....

and since it's january, the new design team gallery is up at gossamer blue too!  i used the awesome january kits to get caught up with my project life album!  i only have a little bit of journaling left to do on weeks 52 and 52.5 and that book is all finished!

jot magazine

if you are looking for a new challenge, the january mood board at jot magazine is up and running!  it's winter here, but in australia, it's the middle of their summer!  this month's challenge includes beautiful beach colors and pretty summer pictures!  totally makes me long for warm weather and my bathing suit!!

hello december!

i can't believe it's already here…although the wait for thanksgiving seemed too incredibly long!! 

since it's the first of the month, there's ton to share with you!!

first up is the december gallery at write.click.scrapbook.  this month is all about "holiday traditions" and i documented one of our favorite traditions, which is making christmas ornaments for our family and friends.

i love those gold star rub-ons from chic tags.  they worked perfectly for a little pop on my background!!  the glitz design "hello december" stickers were perfect underneath my paper layers!!

sketch challenges...

there are two sketch challenges running right now in case you have a little extra motivation and want to participate!!  both of the sketches are super fun!  i always love to play around with sketches.  when i start out, i always try to "stick" to the sketch, but in the end, i ALWAYS change things around.  that's the fun part about sketches, though!  you can play around with them and use your creativity to make something beautiful!!

hello november...

november is here and there is so much goodness to share with you today!!

first up….

issue 3 of jot magazine is now available for viewing.  it's beyond amazing.  it's full of christmas goodness!!!

i contributed a few projects for the magazine and i'm so excited to see them in print!  here's a little peek of my projects!!  you can see more pictures and details in the magazine!!

moving on….

the november gallery is live at write.click.scrapbook.  i loved this month's theme…..dreams.

i decided to write some of my dreams for my children down on paper.  i typed them onto vellum and layered them on top of that beautiful floral paper from crate paper
